WHY Students want online exams

As per arising COVID-19 situation, educational institutions of every stage are forced to arrange online classes to save the precious time of students. Because

Students are the Future of Pakistan

As students were taking online classes, they requested educational authorities to take online exams. Educational officials are not agreeing to their humble request because they are thinking it ineffective.

                                           

Major reasons why students want online exams are following:

Adaption is difficult

Students are used to taking classes, quizzes and assignments online. If students are compelled for on campus exams, it will create a hard situation for students to shift from online curriculum to offline schedule. Because students faced difficulty in compromising with online studies just like teachers.

Comfort of home

Everyone knows that being a hosteller very difficult. If we consider the situation of both classes, we get to know both classes (hostellers and day scholars face different issues being at hostel and coming to educational institutes respectively).

·        The comfort of home for Hosteller

A hosteller will have more self-confidence staying close with his family.

·        The comfort of home for the day scholar

A day scholar will save his precious time, spent daily during traveling.

Less stressful

Change of environments is very challenging in any case. Giving exams on campuses will add extra stress, depression, and complications to the students.

Safe

the demand for online exams is in need of an hour right now. The coronavirus situation is not handled properly and everyone is at a stake during this pandemic. The government with health care professionals is unable to fight with this situation, how everyone can expect students can face it without even any help from its institute.

 

 

If Institutions are not accepting…

Neglecting all the valid reasons, if still colleges and universities are compelling the students for online exams, then it means that educational authorities

·        Ignore the valid demands of student.

·        Do not care about the mental health of students.

·        Take the physical health of students for granted.

·        Want students remain unaware of their basic rights.

·        Are not ready to include students in their decisions.

·        Are creating a bridge between students and teachers.

WHAT students should DO?

The result or conclusion we make here is that, Educational Institutions are just for themselves, they are

Making students alone

The major question that arises here is

What should students do to get their basic rights?

 Every student here reading it, you are not alone. You are a whole universe in yourself. You can mold anything coming in your way to your goals.  If  

You cannot direct the winds, still, you can adjust the sails.

It is the right time for you to get united and arrange an environmental-friendly protest against these authorities to show them you are not alone.

It is a Now or Never situation for all the students being neglected by university officials. This is a difficult situation for all the students because along with studies and preparation for exams, they have to prepare themselves for facing the ignorance from their own institutions.

We cannot decide the results of the protest, but surely, we can show our union and strength to everyone who is taking students for granted. We can also spread it through social media to let everyone knows the power of students.

We should try to get our basic rights of online exams.
